I am currently working on putting together an exhibition to present jewellery pieces that attempt to preserve memory objects, like the little treasures that become significant when found, or over time. I've been very lucky to get the support of the Canada Council for the Arts to put together that show, and also lucky enough to work with a perfumer that is recreating the olfactive ambiance of my memories.

Describe your current work/practice in one sentence.

Memories, the fear of forgetting, and the memory (as in the faculty).

What are three things/ideas that inspire you?

What other things do you do besides your jewellery practice?

I have 3 children under 7. That sums it up.

It's a piece I made at NSCAD in 2007, it's old, but that was the first time I managed to represent how I felt into jewellery, so it's still very dear to my heart.

What is a favourite piece that you’ve made and why?

Bubbling (there must be a better word for the image I had in mind, but that was the first word!)

What word pops into your mind when you think of Canadian art jewellery?

I still have over 9 months to put together the exhibition with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts. Hopefully, after that, I will get to present the show in various places.

What is coming up next for you?
